Wildlife

Ankawini is home to over 30 species of antelope, over 50 species of bird, and various other predators, insects, reptiles, and amphibians.  Here's a list of what we see on a weekly basis: black-faced impala, black wildebeest, blue wildebeest, duikers, eland, geckos, giraffes, guineas, golden oryx, golden wildebeest, hares, jackals, klipspringers, kudu, meerkats, njala, oryx, ostriches, red hartebeest, sables, springbok, waterbuck,  warthogs, and zebras.

Our photo gallery below doesn't quite do justice to the array of wildlife we see every day here at Ankawini. Scenery

We know we're biased, but we think Ankawini is one of the most beautiful places in the world. 7,000 hectares of mountains, rivers, valleys, plains, and rolling hills. There's nothing quite like the feeling you get when you're here.
